Rules and conditions for using AquaShelter.

Last updated: May 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using AquaShelter, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. App Purpose

AquaShelter is intended to help aquarium hobbyists track tanks, inhabitants, water parameters, maintenance, photos, and expenses. The app provides informational tools and scheduling assistance for aquarium care.

3. No Professional, Veterinary, or Emergency Advice

AquaShelter is not a veterinary, medical, laboratory, or emergency service. Recommendations, schedules, and care tips in the app are informational only and are not guaranteed to be correct for every species, setup, or situation.

You are responsible for confirming critical readings, maintenance decisions, medication use, stocking choices, and life-support actions for your aquarium.

4. Local Data and User Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into the app. Tank names, species selections, parameter readings, schedules, expenses, and photos are managed by you.

The app may store records locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups through Apple device backup tools if desired.

5. Third-Party Services

AquaShelter uses third-party services such as Google AdMob, Firebase, Meta SDK services, OneSignal, and OpenAI. Your use of AquaShelter may therefore also involve those providers’ systems and policies.

6. Advertising

AquaShelter may display ads, including banner, interstitial-style, and optional rewarded ad experiences. Ad timing, availability, and fill rate may vary by device, country, and inventory availability. Active ad-free subscribers should not see in-app ads while their subscription remains active.

7. Subscriptions and Paid Features

AquaShelter may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including monthly and yearly ad-free plans, through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Subscription pricing, duration, and trial availability, if any, are shown in the app before purchase.

Subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. AquaShelter cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf.

If a purchase does not unlock correctly, use the app’s restore purchases option. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to App Store policies.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected components beyond applicable law, or use the service in a way that harms AquaShelter or third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

AquaShelter, its branding, design, and app-specific content are owned by AquaShelter or its licensors. Public species information and third-party resources may remain subject to their own rights and licenses.

10. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, replace, or remove features at any time, including APIs, legal documents, ad behavior, and app functionality.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

AquaShelter is provided on an ā€œas isā€ and ā€œas availableā€ basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete accuracy, or suitability for any specific aquarium setup.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AquaShelter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss, injury, tank failure, livestock loss, business interruption, or data loss arising from use of the app.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of AquaShelter after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
